Morton's Steak House - Asian Warm Steak Salad
From the Morton's Steak House comes this wonderful salad ! This Asian Warm Steak Salad is so easy to make, not only it is healthy, you'll eat with your eyes first. This is a perfect meal for lunch !
Salad:
6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
8 cups torn romaine lettuce
1 pound baby bok choy ( I blanched it in hot water and then ice bath but you can eat it raw)
1 medium carrot - shave in strips
1 red bell pepper - julianne
5 scallions - chopped
1/2 cup melted butter
2 lbs tendorloin beef - sliced
4 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
Dressing:
2 tbs plus 2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbs peanut oil
2 tbs sesame oil
2 tbs rice vinegar
1 tsp minced ginger
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Method:
Make the dressing by whisking the soy sauce, peanut oil, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, pepper flakes, vinegar.
Cut baby bok choy in halfs, wash and put in ice bath. (if you like it cooked, blanched quickly in hot water and then ice bath)
In a salad bowl, mix the romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, carrots, bell pepper, scallions. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Cook tendorloin beef for 1 min or medium rare. Transfer steak to a bowl and add 1/4 of the dressing.
Drizzle 1/4 cup of the dressing over the salad greens and toss to mix. Pile the salad to 4 serving plates and top with beef. Garnish with sesame seeds.
