Chinese Fried Rice - Chinese Sausage/Shrimp






You can substitute Chinese Sausage with just about any other meats such as Shrimp, Pork or Beef. 

Ingredients: 

1 cup of long grain rice
1/2 cup of Chinese sausage (Diced or cut it up into bite pieces. Be sure to remove casing). 
1/2 cup of frozen mixed vegetables
1 egg - omelet, chopped
soya sauce
sesame oil
salt
pepper
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
1 clove of garlic, chopped

Method:

Cook rice and when cooked, fluff rice with fork and let it cool. If possible, leave it in the refrigerator overnight.


In a wok, saute garlic in vegetable oil. Add Chinese sausage or meat of choice, and mixed vegetables and fry for about 2 mins. Add rice and fry for about 5 mins on medium high heat. Add soya sauce, salt, pepper to taste. Stir fry for another 2-3 mins until all the rice are hot and evenly fried.

Add egg omelet and a dash of sesame oil before removing from wok. Top with pork floss.
