Nam Plik Ong (A Thai Appetizer)
Annie's version of the Nam Plik Ong. The critics said it was 99% close to the original dish at Lotus of Siam !
When you go to Vegas, you have to go to the Lotus of Siam. This Thai appertizer along with every item on the menu is out of this world. The chef (on the picture) won the James Beard award two years in a row. She is by far the only ethnic chef that has won the James Beard award. I came to know of this on the Food Network and the Travel Channel. On Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Ming Tsai enjoys Nam Plik Ong, a red chili dip with ground pork, tomato and dried spices, at the Lotus of Siam. And you will have to see the Grand Canyon on the helicopter. The view is spectular and is truly an experience.
